*UPDATED!* Games Workshop 40K Build + Paint Releases for Late 2016 – and New Blood Bowl Models!
HELLO VISITORS FROM BoLS, SPIKEY BITS AND DAKKA! Please note that we had ZERO indication that GW are trying to get into big stores like Target, Tesco, Walmart, etc. – please see below for details on where they are in the Toy Fair. We will ask them DIRECTLY tomorrow (the 28th of January) and will update this post with their reply! PLEASE SEE THE UPDATE BELOW!
This week, we’re at the Nurnberg Toy Fair in Germany, and we’ve had the big scoop from GW about some of their upcoming releases for 2016!
First up are these starter model sets that feature some ‘classic’ sprues, small pots of paint and a brush (or two), all at prices that seem to range from ‘reasonable’ to ‘crazy’, depending on who you ask. So here’s the pictures!
And in case you think these are fake or an attempt at trolling the wargamers out there…
and pictures of the GW stand:
they are placed right in the middle of the hall with tons of die-cast and scale model manufacturers, so positioned in the right place to talk to model shops and hobby distributors. In contrast to the various blogs who have shared these photos, we don’t think that GW are trying to get into big shops like WH Smith’s, Target, Walmart, Tesco, etc. – just trying to talk to model shops into carrying their product.
Jan 28th update!
ANND…in Blood Bowl news! A couple of new models are previewed as well!
And in case anyone STILL thinks these are fake:
There’s piles of these flyers!
And finally some close-ups of the Age of Sigmar terrain sets, we didn’t realize these weren’t released yet!

Huh. Isn’t that Ork sprue from Assault on black reach?
I assume you guys picked up one of the flyers, is there any way you can upload a higher resolution scan of those flyers? It’s hard to read some of the text zoomed in.
Sure! We’ve updated the post (see the links under the first flyer images) but you can click here: http://i.imgur.com/H5tXbhq.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/FN2mU5T.jpg 🙂
That’s perfect, thankyou. This is exciting stuff indeed. I now have an excuse to get an Ork army started later this year, especially since my brother and I want to give classic Gorkamorka a shot. I could have a mob with the original models without going to Ebay, lol!
